Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s dancing video is Cher-approved

The dancing queen herself has given newly sworn-in Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, her seal of approval.

After a video of the young politician dancing in college remerged and went viral the day Ocasio-Cortez took office, Cher sent her an encouraging message.

“Know The Feeling @AOC. SOMETIMES JUST GOT-TA DANCE!” the “Believe” singer tweeted on Saturday in an emoji-sprinkled post.

“Good Thing You Can 💃🏻👠💃🏻, Sponsor a Bill, Put on 💄, & Kick Ass At The Same Time 👠👠,” she added.

The Bronx native, 29, responded to Cher by saying, “Thank you @Cher! We can fix Congress and have fun doing it – who says we can’t multitask?” And also quote-tweeted the message with the comment, “The Queen has spoken!”

The video, which includes “Breakfast Club”-inspired dance moves, is from Ocasio-Cortez’s days as a student at Boston University. The clip also caught the eye of the iconic movie’s stars as well.

“That’s it, Alexandria you’re in the club!” Molly Ringwald tweeted on Thursday.
