Ex-‘RHONY’ star Kelly Bensimon ready for reality TV comeback

Former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Kelly Bensimon is ready to step in front of the reality TV cameras again, but only if the focus is on her real estate career.

“I think there’s definitely going to be a comeback, but it has to be something that’s work-related,” Bensimon, 50, told Page Six at WE tv’s “Bridezillas” event in New York City earlier this week.

After leaving “RHONY” in 2011, the former model started a career in luxury real estate. She celebrated a year working as a real estate agent for Warburg Realty in February.

“People like to see that I work, and I’ve had such longevity,” Bensimon continued. “I’m educated and I put my money where my mouth is. If I say I’m going to do something, I actually do it.”

When asked whether she would consider appearing on “Million Dollar Listing New York,” another Bravo reality show that features some of Manhattan’s most successful brokers, Bensimon said, “I do think they need a girl.”

Season 7 of “MDLNY” followed the careers of Fredrik Eklund, Ryan Serhant, and Steve Gold — all of whom Bensimon said she has met and been friendly with in the past.

“I knew Frederick even before he was on the show and even Steve,” Bensimon said. “Those guys are great. Remember I went on a date with Ryan Serhant on ‘Housewives?’ Jill Zarin introduced me to him. He’s so nice and so sweet.”

Bensimon said working in real estate allows her to meet “so many interesting people” and makes her “feel more and more confident.”

That feeling has also led her to look for a life partner again — especially since her daughters, Sea Louise, 21, and Thadeus Ann, 19, are all grown up.

“I would love to get married, commit to one person, and just build a life with somebody,” Bensimon said. “I’m dating and having a great time. I just feel really good about where I am in my life.”
