As 2018 was nearing towards its end, the year saw two big comedians coming with their set of friends for their comedy show. After the big fallout between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover the two colleagues were tipped as rivals on screen. As a result, it was quite obvious that their shows were pitted against each other. One side Sunil announced his new show Kanpur Waale Khuranas with Sharma’s ex-colleagues and out of closet foes Preeti Simoes and Neeti Simoes. On the other side, Sharma who had a rough 2018 announced his return with the popular The Kapil Sharma Showon the same network. However, this time he armed himself with Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek, the other two popular comedians in the business. Both the shows were launched in a week or two’s time. Interestingly, both the shows opened with Ranveer Singh and the cast of Simmba promoting their film.
While Sharma’s return made waves everywhere, Grover’s new show didn’t really get the hype. The Star Plus’ show didn’t really do great in terms of numbers as well. And now everyone’s eyes are on the Sony TV’s show’s ratings.
