Mariah Carey’s former manager is suing former Trump Russian associate Felix Sater for more than $1 million, alleging he hacked into her computers and phones to steal her famous clients’ showbiz secrets while they were dating.
Tough-talking Russian-American Stella Bulochnikov Stolper, who managed Carey for a number of years until late last year, is suing Sager in New York Federal Court. She alleges that she had reconnected with her former Brooklyn childhood friend Sater in 2017 and allowed him to stay at her home in Los Angeles, with his assistant Kalsom Kam.
But she alleges Sater — who partnered with the president on Trump Soho — tried to manipulate her to get into Hollywood, “Sater sought to leverage Stolper’s substantial connections in the entertainment industry, and requested that Stolper make introductions for him so that Sater could pitch media endeavors based upon his own turbulent life story.”
In late 2017 Bulochnikov — who was nicknamed “The Russian Dictator” because of her intensity — became “frustrated” with Sater and threw him out of her house, court papers state. “Shortly thereafter, Stolper was shocked and devastated to learn that Sater and Kam had created unauthorized electronic methods of backdoor access to all of the data on her computers and digital devices, and were using those backdoors to access and misappropriate all of [Bulochnikov’s company ] Wikked’s confidential, proprietary and valuable business files, as well as all of [her] separate business files and all of her personal files and photos relating to her and her family.”
She also claims, “Defendants used hacks, backdoors, and other nefarious electronic means to access Plaintiffs’ computers and smart devices, and misappropriated, copied and converted valuable, unauthorized information from Plaintiffs’ computers and smart devices, including but not limited to confidential client information, scripts, treatments, contracts, and other intellectual property.”
Sater is a central figure in special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation of President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.
During the 2015-16 American presidential campaign, Sater worked with former Trump lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen to broker a deal to build a Trump Tower Moscow through his Russian contacts. He is scheduled to testify before the House Intelligence Committee on March 14.
Earlier in 1998, Sater had pleaded guilty to his involvement in a $40 million stock fraud scheme orchestrated by the Russian Mafia and became an informant for the FBI and federal prosecutors, assisting with organized crime investigations. Then in 2017, Sater agreed to cooperate with investigators into international money laundering schemes.
Lawyers for Sager could not immediately be reached. Bulochnikov — whose producing credits include Paris Hilton’s “My New BFF” and also appeared on Carey’s reality show “Mariah’s World” — didn’t comment. She had also sued Carey last year after the singer switched her management to Roc Nation, and the case was settled early this year.
