Fern Mallis — whom everyone with a clipboard should recognize as the longtime mastermind behind Fashion Week — was amused to arrive at a show Tuesday to discover she’d been assigned not to a seat in its front row but — gasp — to a standing-room spot in the back.
Mallis wouldn’t tell us the name of the designer whose misguided minions had made the gaff, but we’re told it was menswear brand Nihl (which didn’t get back to us).
Mallis told us she laughed when she saw the assignment, but “it’s very important for p.r. people to know who’s in the audience. Some people can be oblivious. This is something people can learn from.”
