R. Kelly is reportedly the subject of a criminal investigation in Georgia thanks in part to “Surviving R. Kelly.”
The Fulton County District Attorney is currently looking into the singer and a mansion he previously owned in Johns Creek, Ga., reports The Blast. Kelly’s former home is featured in the six-part Lifetime docuseries highlighting his alleged sexual misconduct with young girls.
According to the website, investigators have already interviewed alleged victim Asante McGee, who is featured in “Surviving R. Kelly” walking through the property describing seeing women held against their will.
They have also contacted Joycelyn Savage and ordered her to come in for questioning. While Savage has claimed she was with Kelly of her own free will, her family and friends believe he has brainwashed her.
The Blast report that one of the charges authorities are looking into is false imprisonment.
A rep for Kelly did not respond to a request for comment.
