Tia’s breast milk tastes like a ‘vanilla latte’

Breast milk may have healing powers, according to Tamera Mowry.

“The Real” co-host returned to her post on Monday after battling an illness to share that her twin sister’s breast milk may have helped her overcome it all.

The 40-year-old actress had been feeling sick and her sister, Tia Mowry, sent over an article that claimed breast milk had more white blood cells than the average human body. So at her sister’s suggestion, she drank four ounces.

“You guys, it was freaking amazing,” Tamera beamed. “I was highly surprised! It was lovely!”

Tamera said Tia’s breast milk actually tasted better than her own. Tia recently gave birth to a daughter, her second child with husband Cory Hardrict.

“Mine tastes a little bit more like chai tea,” Tamera said describing when she was nursing. “Hers tasted like vanilla latte.”

“I want it as a creamer,” she mused. “I want to put in my coffee.”

As for the milk’s so-called healing properties, Tamera said it “helped me a little bit.”

“I think if I drank more, I would have felt more of the healing properties,” she said.

In late February, the famous twins drew attention when they first shared on social media that Tamera drank Tia’s breast milk to feel better.

The New York Post talked with a doctor who explained there is evidence that breast milk can help a newborn develop his or her immune system, but shut down any theory there are benefits for adults.
